Decentralized finance (DeFi) oracles network Pyth will be initiating an airdrop of 255 million PYTH tokens to its users and community members beginning on November 20th. Eligible wallets, dapp users, Pyth Network Discord administrators, and holders of Pyth NFTs may be able to claim tokens. The airdrop will remain open until February 18th. People from certain countries like the US and UK are ineligible due to legal factors. Pyth’s native token has an initial circulating supply of 1.5 billion and 8.5 billion additional tokens will be unlocked between 6 and 42 months. Oracle networks are important for the DeFi market’s integration with traditional financial markets, however, they can be taken advantage of. Pyth is the fourth-largest such oracle network and is up against Chainlink’s 45% market share.
