Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao has announced that his charitable foundation, the Manny Pacquiao Foundation, will use meme token Shiba Inu’s Layer 2 blockchain Shibarium for fundraising. The Foundation is a non-profit run by the former fighter and has been accepting SHIB on its website since 2021. Shibarium is a layer-2 network backed by SHIB tokens which runs on Ethereum, and the Foundation will use it to optimize, streamline, and record its activities, providing greater transparency concerning its social good efforts worldwide. Following the news, SHIB token rose a modest 1.5%.
