Today, XRP holders experienced a brief moment of disbelief when news broke out that the “BlackRock iShares XRP Trust” filing in Delaware was actually fake. A company spokesperson confirmed to Decrypt that the filing was not made by BlackRock, and the address and contact information used was the same as BlackRock’s very real ETH filing last week. This caused XRP to jump 12% within half an hour. Last week, when BlackRock confirmed that its Ethereum trust filing was real, Etheruem broke past $2,000 for the first time in a couple months.
