Digital Currency Group (DCG) has hired top white-collar defense lawyer Barry Berke to defend them against a civil lawsuit from New York Attorney General Letitia James alleging that the companies have defrauded customers of $1.1 billion. DCG, its subsidiary Genesis Global Capital, and crypto exchange Gemini Trust are all defendants in the lawsuit. DCG founder and CEO Barry Silbert is confident that Berke’s experience will be beneficial in fighting these accusations.
