LayerZero recently attempted to integrate a wrapped version of Lido’s staked Ethereum token, but faced backlash from the Lido community for circumventing the governance powers that oversee the smooth operation of Lido Finance. The integration was done without consulting the governance powers, and security concerns were raised about the LayerZero architecture. To make amends, the bridging protocol appears to be backtracking on at least one integration.
