Twitch is rolling out changes to better position itself against its competitors, such as TikTok, Kick, and YouTube. These changes include features to increase discoverability and expand its safety policies to include consequences for off-platform doxxing and swatting. Twitch will no longer punish streamers for streaming to multiple platforms simultaneously, such as YouTube or Kick. Twitch is also adding a “Chat Countdown” feature that will give creators the ability to better manage when ads cover their streams. Kick’s Head of Strategic Partnerships Andrew Santamaria responded to the simulcast news by promoting his rival platform, and Twitch’s new policy against doxxing and swatting takes effect immediately. #TwitchCon #LiveStreaming #SafetyFirst #Discoverability
